EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Chelsea Gatewood

Get to know Chelsea Gatewood, Quality Improvement Analyst for All Native Group. Chelsea has been with the company for over 5 years! She responsible for supporting ANG’s quality initiatives, including performance metrics reporting, process improvements and system administration. We sat down with Chelsea to hear more and here’s what we found out about her.

 

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
I enjoy building relationships with employees throughout the entire company by helping implement our quality management system. I also enjoy bringing new ideas to improve our processes to our leadership team.

 

What has been one of your favorite projects so far, and why?
I have been a part of ANG’s ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification audits and a member of the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) appraisal team. These projects have helped me learn how our quality management system works and gain the appropriate skills for the role that I am currently in today.

 

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, family and friends. I also enjoy watching Husker football and using my crafting skills to create home décor.

 

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I love to sing! I enjoy singing karaoke and used to be the singer in a cover band with my dad and our family friends.

 

What has surprised you about working for All Native Group?
It is refreshing to work for a company that puts so much effort into education and training. This creates so much opportunity for movement and growth within the company.

 

How has your work adjusted in response to the pandemic? What has working through the pandemic taught you?
The ability to work from home and utilize Zoom meetings has been a welcomed adjustment through the pandemic – especially as the workload increased. It has really shown that ANG values their employees wellbeing.

The pandemic has taught me that I am capable of handling multiple projects while maintaining a balance outside of work. All while working full-time, I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Certified Quality Process Analyst certification.
