EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Dawn Morgan

Meet Dawn Morgan!

Dawn is a Division Director, Systems Engineering and Integration. She directs, organizes, and controls the activities of five programs under Operations. This involves the overall operations and day-to-day business activities of the direct support staff and being responsible for the strategic vision and for managing successful delivery across multiple functional areas.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

The interaction with so many different people on a daily basis, such as teammates and customers– everyone has a uniqueness.  I also really enjoy the variety any given day brings; you have a plan and tasks that need to be accomplished, but there’s always the unplanned that happens that really keeps it exciting.

How long have you been with the company? How have you been able to grow personally and/or professionally since you started?

I have been with the company for just over a year.  Personally, by moving from government civilian (22 years) to contractor, the change for me has been a tremendous positive. The support from everyone I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with is top notch.  Professionally, I have moved from a program manager, team lead, to a director position, and I couldn’t be more blessed by the opportunities I’ve been given and the leadership I’m provided regularly.

What has been one of your favorite projects so far, and why?

I don’t think any one project sticks out. I’m learning new things every day, and I’m enjoying all that this position brings.

What do you like to do outside of work?

You can find me hanging with my two grandsons every chance I get. I also enjoy walking my dogs, building puzzles with my dad, and working in my flower gardens. I also volunteer for the AF Marathon.

What is something about you that might surprise people?

I’m terrified of seagulls but prefer the beach. I have boy/girl twins.

What has surprised you about working for ANG?

What has surprised me is how kind and supportive everyone has been– everyone works together and is always positive.

If you haven’t applied, what are you waiting for?  There’s no reason to not succeed here. If you have questions, ask and someone is willing to answer and help.

Do you have anything you’re looking forward to or have you done anything fun or interesting lately?

My daughter and my best friend will be participating in the sea, air and space challenge marathon this year. I will be going as the cheerleader, driver, and water/Gatorade supplier.

My oldest son and his wife are expecting their third child in July.
