EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Edna Guevara

Meet Edna Guevara!

Edna is a Program Manager Coordinator and Operations Quality Management Lead.

In this role, she collaborates with employees and executives to make recommendations for improvements, which may include new standard operating procedures, practices, forms, and reports. She also facilitates the implementation of new systems and procedures across the Operations team.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

The collaboration with people with different and interesting backgrounds, and the dynamic environment of government contracting.

How have you been able to grow personally and/or professionally since you started?

I’ve been with the company for seven years, and I started working in the Contracts Department managing one contract then became the Contracts Manager. I transferred to the Operations Team last year to continue to grow professionally.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love spending time with my fiancé, hiking and exploring new places. I participate with my ballroom dance family to share the benefits of dance with kids with autism and disabilities, as well as adults with Alzheimer’s.

What is something about you that might surprise people?

I am part of a Salvador Traditional Dance Team that promotes the conservation of our traditional dress and dances within the Latin American community.

What has surprised you about working for ANG? Or what insights or advice would you give to someone who is thinking about applying to work here or recently started?

I had the opportunity to visit the Winnebago Reservation and as an ANG employee it’s rewarding to see the contributions our work has made and continues to make to the tribe.

Do you have anything you’re looking forward to or have you done anything fun or interesting lately?

I will be participating in a race this year to benefit the “Make Lemon Aide for Cerebral Palsy” and also volunteering for the “September 11th National Memorial Trail.”
