Get to know William Adams, Senior Pricing Strategist at All Native Group. William has been with the company for three years in February.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
I enjoy the ability to be instrumental in the proposal process. Every proposal we take on moves the company closer to achieving organizational goals set by our leadership. Our team’s work has an effect on the financial health and progress of the company for years to come.
How have you been able to grow personally and/or professionally since you started?
This is first time in my career I have worked with a group of people who value my opinion and contributions to the organization. I realized that I have a voice at ANG and learned to use that voice to help move the company forward.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have been a playing guitar since high school. Most of my friends are working musicians. While in college, I would take extra gigs to help out a local band in need of a bass or guitar player. I even had a small blurb written about me in 2017 Guitar Player Magazine!
When not playing music, I enjoy working on cars. I got my first taste of building cars with my uncles. Currently, I’m doing an upgrade on my 2010 Dodge Challenger with a possibility of doing sanctioned racing in the future.
What has surprised you about working for ANG?
When I first interviewed for the Pricing Strategist position at ANG, I was shocked to see the level of diversity within the company. I’ve worked for large conglomerates in banking and government contracting in the past. What sold me on working at ANG was seeing people who looked like me in executive management and program management. A company’s stand on diversity tells you everything you need to know about the organization.
What insights or advice would you give to someone who is thinking about applying to work here or recently started?
Be prepared to work with capable people from different walks of life who are proficient at their jobs. If you are new to government contracting, this is a great place for you to start. ANG is a great place to learn your craft and get good at it. If you’re a government professional, this is a place where you shine can and contribute.
